Central America

Equiped with an unobtrusive 35mm roll film camera, the artist spent fourteen months exploring Central America; from the sprawling metropolis of Mexico City and spectacular Mayan ruins, to the low lying rainforest of the Mosquito Coast and nature in all of its wonder, he experienced a rich diversity of life and culture. Social inequality and poverty were highly prominent in much of the continent which has been readily exploited by foreign, political interests, for many years. Politics was an active force for change in the minds of the people who strove for political fairness and inclusion, with great resilience and authenticity, where the road to democracy could cost them their life. His profound experience of Central America has been a life changing influence that will never leave him.

Photographs of Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Cuba - Latin America.
